Wild Sweetgrass (European Grown)
This listing is for one jar of Wild European Sweetgrass, from The heART of Ritual.
 
The ritualistic, magical, and energetic virtues of Sweetgrass is well known world wide. Each person has their own unique and intimate relationship with their teachers, irrelevant of what species they are or kingdom they belong to, and in accordance with their personal prayer practice/traditions/beliefs.
 
I'm sharing this Sweetgrass this season as it really is quintessential Spring/Air Element (and I've included this legendary plant in this seasons 'Spring Cleanse' body conditioner too so it can be worn on the skin!). In true Spring tradition (communication, oral traditions and storytelling) there is a story behind the golden colour on the container for this Sweetgrass - it's from a Fairy fort! Another little Air Element reference.
 
This delightful golden yellow earth was gathered by hand from the ditch circling a fairy fort near my fathers nest. I spotted earth revealing itself in what is normally a Willow and Bramble covered embankment, (most likely as the result of the frisky cattle nearby), and curiosity got the better of me. Wellies on, and a dessert spoon and egg cup to hand, I wandered over to take a closer look. The structural paste you see here is it's earth story, a postcard from the (h)edge so to speak.
 
Each comes to you in a beautiful recycled apothecary glass bottle (50ml), encrusted with a highly textured natural structural paste that I created from hand gathered wild clays, fine crystal powders, and minerals. Each is adorned with a mini posey of wild seasonal botanicals, and a hand written plant fiber paper label embossed with our Celtic Wheel of the Year mandala art. These are lovingly held in place with a beautiful plant fiber cordage made from mugwort and rose. Each bottle is ritually sealed with local beeswax.
 
To use:
Place a pea sized amount on your incense warming sieve, or on ignited charcoal in a fireproof dish. Do not leave burning incense unattended.
 
Our wildcrafted ritual fumigation blends are deliciously fragrant and created with the very best of biodynamic, sustainably hand gathered, wild native herbs, resins, fungus, berries, blossoms and fine crystal powders from the high Alps around our nest.
