Not to be mistaken with melanite stones, goddess stones or fairy stones, Gogottes are extremely rare crystalline masterpieces!
 
They are magnificant, naturally formed, snow white, silica based works of large scale voluptious earth 'art' that occur in one place only in the world, Fontainebleau in France. They are usually only ever seen in select museums, and gogottes usually sell for tens of thousands at international institutes such as Christies.
 
I remember seeing my first one in France year's ago and being so bowled away. Very few people are allowed to gather these beauties by hand, and when I met this elderly French man for the first time (at a beautiful exhibition of gogottes), it was clear that he too was both enchanted and besotted by them. I *had* to ask him to contact me if ever he came across any smaller ones that might be more affordable on my pocket strings, and for months worked on trying to manifest the funds for one that I saw at the exhibit (but that didn't work out). I have purchased four from him over the years, this is one of them. The gogotte you receive is the one seen in this listing.
 
This is absolutely stunning, and at just under 2kgs in weight it is a good size! I very much appreciate working with fossils and concretions, but gogottes are in a world of their own. Without wanting to influence your impression too much, there is a very distinct feminine energy from these formations, and a very pure and cohesive feeling of connection too, and I feel that the groups of women that this beauty should be working with are larger in size than I personally work with in person and this is the only reason this gogotte is here, I need to honour the work she needs to do and not hold on to her. I'm very curious to see where she gets called to.
 
Please note that the crystals offered as part of this seasons collection are offered for exactly the same price as I purchased them for all those years ago, and while they are worth more today, I am leaving the price as is as I do not wish to profit from them.
