Welsh folklore; the 'Aderyn y Corph'

Did you know... the 'Aderyn y Corph' is a bird from Wales which chirps at the door of the person who is about to die, and makes a noise that sounds like the Welsh word for "Come! Come!': the summons to death.

Oh, and it has no feathers nor wings... From 'British Goblins: Welsh Folk Lore' by Wirt Sikes. 1880. Artist: Unknown
