This is jam packed with incredible wild sea and land medicines which when added to your simmering pot, provide copious amounts of potassium, selenium, iodine, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, folic acid and a wide range of vitamins. The essence of food as medicine, and this tastes great too!
With the exception of the local rock salt, every single ingredient in this, be that sea vegetables, wild herbs, healing roots, or medicinal mushrooms, have been sustainably gathered, solar/air dried, prepared and blended by me. This is how I roll with absolutely everything I make.
Our ancestors knew the plant cycles, seasons and art of preservation. They were intrinsically connected to the land, as one with, and as part of, nature.
