This listing is for one Hand Sculpted Wild Clay Smoke-Fired Venus of Willendorf Figurine, from The heART of Ritual.

The Venus of Willendorf was discovered not far from where we live on August 7th, 1908. She is believed to be between 25,000 and 30,000 years old, carved from oolitic limestone, and tinted with red ochre. This goddess statue has long intrigued many, and given her voluptuous shape and sensual curvaceous figure, she is believed to be both a fertility ritual figure and a representation of the mother goddess/divine feminine.

Working with this delicious feminine respresentation and such a tactile piece of sacred art speaks to me too of unconditional body acceptance and embracing age during what is a rather fragile time for many women in society right now.

These have been lovingly created from hand dug wild clay.  Each is hand sculpted to the shape and size of the original Venus of Willendorf, and smoke fired in the kiln. Each of these is completely unique and the accompanying photographs should give you an idea as to what to expect.

As you can see from the photograph, these are large, tactile, voluptious, and simply gorgeous ritual talismans that honour all aspects of sacred feminine energy. You will find that it's hard to leave it out of your hand.
