This listing is for one Earth Element Ritual Bathing Bar from The heART of Ritual.
Being an Earth element offering, it was clear that this ritual offering needed to be of the earth and for the earth ~ facilitating connection with the worlds within, and the land around us.
Beneath the surface, layers of strata ~ what lays beneath, the unseen. This is represented through beautiful layers of finely ground hand gathered Irish red ochre (a sacred ritual colour for the Celts), powdered willow and mugwort charcoal (a direct reference to transitions, not least a symbolic nod to the funeral pyre by a tree that relates with emotions and a herb that is an Elder), and quartz gathered along the shores of my home in Ireland. These have been swirled through a decoction of wild native medicinal herbs and mushrooms that relate with the Earth Element, North, Winter, Ancestors, and Elder archetype, all of which were gathered in the forests and mountains around our nest.
On the surface, the visible earth and a homage to wooded and mountainous Earth Element landscapes ~ there is no need for me to list details here as you can see it for yourself in the video. I worked with the therapeutic colours of the Earth element, included wild medicinal ingredients that are grounding, nourishing and support release, and energetic references and ingredients for the chakras of the root, knees, feet and earth star, and to promote presence through a form of enchantment ~ the miniature worlds on top resemble magical frosty winter mornings in the woods. This enchantment seeds appreciation for the god in small things, and respect for the wonderous beauty and sacredness of Earth, our shared home.
