Each of these balms is adorned with a Dandelion seed to release self destructive patterns, resentment, deep anger etc that may be preventing you from achieving inner peace and stillness. Once you connect with the reason for these patterns, you can then chose to correct them, or not. Once the patterns are gone, so too are the obstacles preventing you from connecting with all other aspects of the whole. And from here the adventures begin. This little seed represents your intention for change and personal growth so that you can begin cultivating access to the wisdom within, the wisdom of the ages. The red in this ointment is finely ground Irish ochre, which I have included to support the healing of any wounds you may discover along the way, and also to serve as a therapeutic reference to the root chakra, the sacred center that relates with the root, earth, earth element, connection, and whole harmonious BEing.
 
Each of these gorgeous cauldron shaped textured vessels is encrusted with absolutely stunning crystal, mineral, plant pigment and wild clay body that Niamh developed for this seasons offerings, for you to etch your personal and unique symbols, sigils, words and other marks upon. You will also receive a complimentary tool to use for etching your personal symbols and/or words upon these vessels.
 
Lovingly handcrafted from wild native medicinal herbs and fine crystal powders, this potent ritual anointing balm will enchant and enrapture the senses with the essence and energy it carries. Each vessel is a temple space unto itself, it's walls encrusted with hand gathered sacred earth, crystal and mineral pigments to protect the energetic integrity, and enhance and augment the properties of the ritual balm. Inside each vessel is an altar containing a full sensory prayer for your wellBEing. 
 
Each vessel is both a potent ceremony and a spell in one, ritually sealed with beeswax, and finished with a miniature posey of seasonal wildflowers, medicinal herbs and seed heads gathered from the mountains around our nest...and a miniature key!

ABOUT OUR ALCHEMY RITUAL BALMS
There are eight ritual anointing balms to choose from in our ALCHEMY collection. There are very different energetic signatures present in these balms - what resonates with you, how you choose to work with them, your experience, the direction this takes and insights they impart is unique to you and where you are personally at in that moment on your journey and for this reason, each person's experience is unique too.

All of our ritual anointing balms are made from sustainably harvested native plants, flowers, resins, our medicinal plant tinctures, extracts, our tree, flower, mushroom and crystal essences and much more. There really are incredible plant and crystal medicines packed into each offering. Each one is 50ml practitioner size.

As a responsible human and environmentalist I only work with ingredients I have sustainably gathered in the wild, there are no exotic imported ingredients in anything I make. I don't use essential oils - this is a personal habit as I have super sensitive skin and I don't make a high enough volume of essential oils myself as it requires too much plant material for a minute amount of oil and I find that to be unsustainable for our local environment here. I choose instead to add native resins, aromatic roots, leaves and flowers for their natural scents.
 
As a ritualist, energetic integrity and balanced exchange is paramount and as such, I only work with what I've ceremoniously gathered with my own hands. That which is gathered is only done with with full permission from each plant with personal offerings gifted in gratitude by way of balancing the exchange - a balance that is a vital part of all that I am and do. These slow medicine offerings were lovingly birthed over many moon cycles from sustainably harvested, organic, wildcrafted native ingredients, our own medicinal plant tinctures, wild cold pressed oils, superfine crystal powders, our tree, flower, mushroom and crystal essences, and LOVE.

THE FRAMEWORK FOR THIS COLLECTION

Our Winter/Earth Element Collection arrives into the season of Samhain – that threshold between the last new moon of the dying Celtic year in October, astronomical Samhain, and the first new moon of the year to come in November. It is here that endings and beginnings lie folded together – a dreamtime of moons that leads us into the deepest dark – asking us to walk slowly, to walk in Earth time. 

 

This is not the hurried clock-time of the everyday. It is slow time – deep time – recorded in bedrock and fault-line, in layers pressed through clay and shale. As the earth keeps her history in stone and strata, so we carry memory in bone. The land is our larger body – marrow and mountain, clay and skin, each carrying memory. To enter this season is to enter those depths, to map again the contour lines of the inner ground, to feel where the body holds fractures, pressure, weight-bearing, release. The work is slow. The work is old. Stone remembers, and so do we. Our bodies are cairns of remembrance.

Between Samhain and Solstice we are pilgrims moving through inner hollows and chambers of the soul. It is sanctuary time, a time of reverence and devotion, where prayer is not passive but visceral and embodied – where we kneel not before idols but within the tabernacle of our own being. The ember of light is entrusted to us here, and it must be guarded with care – fanned in trust, sheltered in hope, nourished with care, until it kindles to flame and warmth.

Samhain is also the season of surrender. To grieve what has passed in the twelve months gone. To honour ancestors, yes, but also to lay down the burdens of the year, the losses and thresholds crossed, the shocks and griefs that linger. As leaves return to soil, so sorrow returns to earth, darkening into humus that feeds what will come. In the body, this work is felt in the earth element – in the musculoskeletal frame, in the gut’s deep work of breaking down and letting go. To release is to create space, and to hold is to become heavy. The earth teaches us this balance, for she both receives and yields in the same breath.

 

This is the annual pilgrimage to the soul’s inner shrine – beyond one life, beyond one line of ancestry. It is the thread that connects us with stone and to soil, with grandmother and grandfather, with all who came before and all who will come after. In this time-out-of-time we reweave ourselves into that thread, into the north, into the slow, enduring rhythm of earth itself. And from that ground – from a living tapestry of blood and bone and surrender – the Solstice light is born again. A flame at the heart of winter.
