This listing is for one bottle of Blackcurrant Apéritif, from The heART of Ritual.
 
Known and celebrated worldwide as 'Cassis', this delicious pre dinner liqueur stimulates the appetite and the release of digestive enzymes. This apértif is made with blackcurrants from our garden and is delicious neat, over ice, as a 'kir' when you add a measure to a glass of chilled white wine, or as a 'kir royale' when a measure is added to a flute of chilled champagne or sparkling white wine. 

This alcoholic herbal extract is for sipping before evening meals. It was created over 26 moon cycles. Each comes to you in 175ml recycled glass locally made apothecary bottle with a hand dipped beeswax sealed cork. Each bottle is adorned with a mini posey of seasonal wildflowers, medicinal herbs and seed pods gathered in the mountains around our home. Each bottle is finished with our Wheel of the Year Botanical Mandala art.

Themes & Focus for this Collection

Our upcoming seasonal shop opening coincides with the Celtic Festival of Samhain and takes place within the liminal space between the last new moon of the Celtic year in October, astronomical Samhain, and the first new moon of the Celtic New Year in November. It is during this time that the death of the old (year) and the birth of the new (year) occurs. With this we enter the dreamtime cycle of moons; a time honouring the birth that takes place during and after the darkest times. It is a potent time of observing blood, bones, ancestors, (re)connection, introspection, and 'getting to know the lay of the land'...within. Many refer to this time as a 'thinning of the veils', however those of us whose ears are finely tuned, we know that the 'veil' is always thin.
