This listing is for one Alchemy Ink Set for Ritual Journaling and Sacred Art, from The heART of Ritual.
I've been working towards creating these for such a long time, and am delighted with the results. These have been consciously created for the discerning practitioner and ritualist who knows the talismanic power of mark making, drawing and writing, and those whose self healing practice relates with fluid writing, wordsmithing, sigil making, calligraphy, sacred art, and/or illuminated manuscripts.
Each set includes one of each of the below ritual inks, and an accompanying colour swatch (as seen here, photographed both wet and dry for reference).
These ritual inks are lovingly created with wild native medicinal herbs, minerals, crystals, and pigments that I have sustainably hand gathered. Once all ingredients were gathered, these fluid prayers were birthed into being over 13 moon cycles.
Each comes to you in a beautiful 30ml locally made apothecary glass jar with cork stopper lid. Each bottle is hermatically sealed seven times with local natural beeswax, adorned with a mini posey of seasonal wild native medicinal flowers, herbs and seed heads, and finished with our Wild Botanical Wheel of the Year mandala art. Each bottle is painted with the alchemy symbol that relates with its fluid prayer contents.
- Air
A deep green fluid prayer relating with the direction of east, element of air, season of spring, venus planetary ruler, virgin/youth archetype, heart chakra, chakras of the throat and ears. A ritual verdigris based ink to incorporate in love rituals and affairs of the heart, and to seed intentions, invoke change, and celebrate new beginnings.
- Fire
A warm yellow fluid prayer relating with the direction of south, element of fire, season of summer, sun planetary ruler, parent archetype, solar plexus and third eye chakras. This ritual ink is created with solar magical herbs and iron, incorporate in rituals of manifestation, abundance, metamorphosis, transformation, joy, creativity, and healing the inner child.
- Water
A blood red fluid prayer relating with the direction of west, element of water, season of autumn, moon planetary ruler, the enchanter/enchantress archetype, womb, and sacral chakra. This ritual ink is created with lunar magical herbs, red ochre, iron, and my own pomegranate wine. It is a 'blood ersatz' for use in place of ones own menstrual blood, and a potent libation to appease all three aspects of the Mórrígan. One of the botanical ingredients in this ink is wild Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), whose Latin name comes from Achilles, who used this incredible wild native herb to staunch the bleeding wounds of his soldiers on the battlefield. The iron in this ink is rust from an old blade. Incorporate in rituals of healing inner wounds, trauma (and emotional) release, to unwind, disarm and deflect war energy (from within and/or around us), when invoking flow, adaptability, flexibility and fluidity, when celebrating that which has come to fruition, shapeshifting, shadow consciousness, and lunar dream time journeying.
- Earth
A black fluid prayer relating with the direction of north, element of earth, season of winter, earth planetary ruler, the elder archetype, root chakra, chakras of the feet, elbows, knees and hands, and earth star chakra. Ingredients in this ritual ink include protective lunar magical herbs, charred willow, charred mugwort, bone black (made from fox pelvis and raven bones), floral psychopomps (from the bane family), Fly Agaric, and hand gathered iron rich hematite (which was fired in the kiln to bring out its rich dark tones). Incorporate in death rituals of all kinds, rites of passage relating with releasing your fears, regrets, griefs, the disolution of partnerships, relationships, jobs etc, ancestral work, grounding, surrender, grief composting, journeying within, and when invoking protection, safe passage, nourishment and comfort (from the non human world).
This colour swatch has been made with 300gsm unbleached textured watercolour artist paper.
